This time around Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India releases ‘The Garfield Movie’ exclusively in cinemas on 17th May 2024 in English, Hindi and Tamil, also in 3D.

Joining him is Samuel L. Jackson, who will be playing Garfield's father Vic, a new addition to the Garfield franchise. Strangely, this is not Jackson's first time playing an animated feline, having also recently appeared in Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.

Also confirmed to be a part of the voice cast are Ted Lasso stars Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein as the film's main antagonist Jinx the Persian Cat and her Shar Pei henchman Roland. The rest of the film's ensemble includes Nicholas Hoult (The Menu) as Garfield's owner Jon Arbuckle, Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning: Part One) as Otto the bull, Cecily Strong (Schmigadoon!) as Marge an animal control officer, Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live) as Jinx's whippet henchman Nolan, Janelle James (Abbott Elementary) as Olivia, and rap icon Snoop Dogg as "A Cat." Alongside the release of the first trailer, it was confirmed for the first time that What We Do in the Shadows star Harvey Guillén would be voicing Odie.

Furiosa akan tayang di bioskop Australia pada 23 Mei 2024, dan film tersebut akan tayang di bioskop AS keesokan harinya. Namun seperti Fury Road di tahun 2015, Furiosa akan tayang pada 15 Mei 2024 di Festival Film Cannes. Filmnya mungkin belum keluar, tapi penonton pada tes awal pemutaran di Burbank dilaporkan tidak memberikan pujian yang tinggi untuk film tersebut.

Meskipun Mad Max: Fury Road hanya berlangsung selama beberapa hari, cakupan Furiosa akan jauh lebih besar, mencakup 15 tahun menjelang peristiwa Fury Road.

Furiosa: Pemeran Mad Max Saga!

Di CCXP 2023, trailer pertama film Furiosa menambah minat terhadap film tersebut dengan adanya pengumuman casting besar-besaran. Anya Taylor-Joy telah lama terikat dengan proyek ini dalam peran yang dimulai oleh Charlize Theron di Mad Max: Fury Road, hanya memperburuk garis waktu waralaba Mad Max dan Furiosa yang membingungkan. Meski begitu, trailer Furiosa menawarkan tampilan pertama yang menarik dari para pemeran film tersebut yang bertabur bintang, meskipun belum semua peran mereka jelas. Dengan Furiosa yang akan meniru pendahulunya, pemeran utamanya akan berjumlah sedikit, namun semua karakternya akan menjadi penghuni lanskap pasca-apokaliptik imajinatif George Miller yang dinamis dan tak terlupakan.
